Urban Nerds take over a big top for a day to present Dismantle, Marcus Nasty Ft. Rankin and Rattus Rattus. Also joining the bill is a very special live show from Jakwob on the mainstage. Friction joins Raf Daddy in the big top. 

Ghostpoet, Slow Club, Man Like Me and The Skints head up an announcement of over 40 new additions to our eclectic party bill. 

We teamed up with Xfm to offer one lucky festival goer the chance to win the famed LeeFest V.I.Pee – a private portable loo stuffed full of goodies and kept clean and posh for the whole weekend.  Thanks to everyone who entered, be sure to make friends with the winner if you want a slice of toilet luxury

Latest music and procrastination options…

Too many Nando’s last month has led to a quiet 30 days chicken wise but we’re looking forward to a busy April with loyalty cards racking up stamps, towards the Mecca that is the free whole chicken. Away from plugging a huge chain of restaurants, working away finishing off the line up for another wonderful year. This year as well as a great mix of music there’s going to be a colourful introduction of many new forms of entertainment on site – this is just the start. 

Back with the music though, here are some songs…

U Got The Power by Swiss Lips 

Destined to be a bit of a hit when it gets released, this wonderful track comes from a relatively new band from Manchester. It appears they are working on a debut album for late 2012 but little else can be found from their super slick website.

White Noise by Seye (Strange Records)

A fellow knight of Bromley and one who has graced the stages of LeeFest on several occasions with various bands and artists. This is Seye’s debut single, out on Strange Records on April 17th. He’s also put together a little competition to get cover versions of the track in return for a slot on the bill with him at a gig in London. Find out more about that here

Bashful by Kwes (Warp Records)

Recently signing to Warp, Kwes is the handle of Kwesi Sey from Lewisham (Saaf London). Like many producers and musicians are these days, Kwes is stepping out of the shadows and doing it for himself as a solo artistt. The debut EP ‘Meantime’ is released on April 30th on both vinyl and cd from here.

Someone Purer by Mystery Jets (Rough Trade)

Needn’t say too much about this, apart from how fantastic it sounds really loud. It’s the third track on the Mystery Jets’ fourth album ‘Radlands’ which will be released on 30th April via Rough Trade. The album was recorded in Austin, Texas and Streatham – a combination that probably links those two places for the first time. The only other thing I can think Austin and Streatham have in common is an ice rink, and the one in Saaf London is now closed down, so. Back to the album, it was co-produced by Mystery Jets and Dan Carey (Hot Chip, Franz Ferdinand, Emiliana Torrini). Can’t wait to have this one live from the LeeFest main stage.
